Located 400 meters high along the north coast of the island and surrounded by chestnut forests, Marciana is one of the oldest settlements on Elba. From the town center there are several footpaths that lead to Chiessi, Pomonte and Monte Capanne. Marciana Marina, orignally founded as a harbor for Marciana, is today one of the most fashionable destinations thanks to the waterfront, the many shops and the numerous music festivals.
