Wild and beautiful is the rocky island of Capraia northwest of Elba. Settled already in the Etruscan age, Capraia was a prison island until 1986 and is a natural park since then. There are daily ferries from Livorno and back and during summer regular boat trips from Portoferraio with Acquavision.
